This Is The Day! Our Day!

Finally, the end of my contest. Later I will be finalizing everything. Purchasing the Adgitize 2-weeks Gift Card and checking submission of each entries, links, feed subscription, blog reviews, etc... This is the day! And tomorrow, I will declare the winners --of course that is after I draw them. I don't know if I told you guys how I'll be doing it but I'll tell it anyway.

I Got a PR1.

Okay, it is a victory for me and a proven knowledge which is called wisdom. Well, actually the PR1 is for my xleontips.blogspot.com and not xleontips.com so which means the new domain hasn't earned reputation yet. But I'll continue to do what I have learned and continue to explore the vastness of SEO and PR world.

Why am I doing this? It's a preparation for the coming invasion lol! Like I said before, I am currently a student and studying about PR blogging and SEO blogging --whatever nonsense terminologies they have invented. But hey! PR and SEO/SEM actually is not a non-sense when you greatly benefit from it (income, traffic, etc). Of course my first step was to improve my sites performance and it is a good start and I think my goal was achieved. I can't believe it! With one try! I thought since only a few have joined and sponsored this contest it may not be enough to ring Google's PR. I think PR1 is quite easy to be achieved unlike the PR2 or any of its older sisters or I may just be doing a great job and I am on the right track or it is because I am so awesome! --whatever works is good for me (lol!).

Blogger Compatible Codes

When designing your own blogger theme, it might frustrate you to see the codes you are placing on the XML Blogger theme you are editing doesn't make sense at all when you start viewing it --it sometimes make an error and may ruin your blog's layout. The reason to this is that Blogger XML doesn't recognize your codes at all.

This is great news for me. I just got a $100 Google Adsense coupon from Google. I am so excited --I don't know what to do. Now, I really have to make my place presentable for my visitors. I have to make this place neat and of course make a wise decision in choosing the right keywords. Making More Sense with ClixSense!

At last Clixsense really made more sense to me now. It has been years since I've joined Clixsense but the potential to earn with them seems to be quite slow. If you must ask, I haven't cashed out from them ever since I joined them. Referrals are quite hard to find. But with Clixsense Team Philippines referrals keep coming.

Well, I am trying to re-design my site as part of my SEM (Search Engine Marketing) which is having a nice blog layout.

I am still trying out styles which is kinda difficult. But hey! Atleast after I am finished with the redesigning I'll be able to come-up with a better idea on my next theme for my other blog. I know there is a big space on top but it is part of the plan -don't worry guys.

The new blog will feature a new CSS styled menu plus banners on the cool places. The upgraded header will optimize my site and to remove some other widgets to make the loading much faster and of course to attract more people (I hope).

Priorities!

These past few months I have been so very disoriented in terms of priorities. All I could think of is to learn a lot of things, but to learn which one first is the question. Which is next? and what I should to in order to learn those things on my list. 

I also want to earn more income from online businesses but it has been years and I still don't have a very solid online business where I can get a residual income. I have a great idea however but it will take more than an idea - my skills as a programmer will be tested and will eventually be of use for my personal gain.

I have already made primary actions, layout and design and database structure but I am still studying the market. I may have made initial designs but a lot of ideas keep coming and it sometimes hurt my initial implementations. Just right now an idea came to my mind again - it is difficult but it is all possible. This program I am planning requires me to satisfy both publishers and advertisers (no, it is not an advertising agent or ad network like Adgitize). I can't tell - it is a secret project.

Okay, I am quite tired now. I just want to let out things in my head while it is still there. I have a diary right here with me with 4 pages full already - no it's not like your daily diaries (it's my project diary).

How NOT to Attract Readers!

This is the type of article that I really am very good at "NOT attracting" readers (lol!).

It is true that articles or contents with interesting topics attract a lot of readers but what others fail to realize is that even if you have a very good content but you have a very slow blog - your potential readers could be one of the addition to your bounce rates. Bounce Rate is a terminology found in Google Analytics wherein it shows the rate of people "bouncing" at your site - which means once they set foot on your landing page they immediately look for the "X" button or wait for the Adgitize buttons to appear and hop on to other sites as fast as they can. They literally want to bounce out of your site as fast as they can.

It is a common mistake for bloggers, specially newbies - and I had my share too. Others over-decorate their site and forgot about how their readers feel. Instead of attracting readers - they're actually frightening them. Would you like to wait for five minutes in order for a page to fully load all its initial contents?

Isn't it frustrating that an article of your interest takes a lot of time to load and almost take all the bandwidth? As for me, when googling around for a research and found an interesting article on the search - I click on it. But once it took a lot of time to load the information, I click the "X" and look for another topic on the indexed search - and I've done it a lot of times. 

Blogging is fun and adding a few bits and pieces of widgets to decorate your blog could be taking too much of your time and will probably make it look like it was designed haphazardly. Having a very nice layout and design for your site attracts a lot of readers but too much is always harmful.

Okay, I have finally found the best layout for this blog. Now, customization comes next. This will probably take time since I also have lots of responsibilities in the real world.

Found a Very Promising Home-Business: What Say You?

I have found a great Home-business and a Network Marketing program which is really something. In this business (like they told people), taking risk is important and that risk is called investing. But the great thing about it is, you need only 1 person in order to have your investment back plus you’ll have a monthly residual income from that downline which is a break even already. Take note, you will be receiving your ROI in your account in Paypal, Alertpay, etc.. and not in the account of the program.

Their products are wide variety of high-quality e-books and you can download it. No, it is not GDI (Global Domains International) but they also offer an Residual Income for Life. More e-books are added every month for all their subscribers.

I am researching more details if they are scam or not and so far I haven’t found a single article which pertains that they are scam - all are testimonies. I haven’t join yet because the cost of initial investment is $100 – call me cheap but $100 is not an easy money earned in online businesses. But $100 is actually cheaper than the amount of investment I did for my PTC which scammed me eventually. Anyways, once I get my first downline I am at ROI already and all the investments will be my time --unlike PTCs I’ve joined which I remembered to be a painful clicking every day. Neobux may not be a scam but it is hard finding refs right now so investing their would be more than risky than this new business I found.

How about you? Are you willing to invest/risk $100 to a business which you think has a very good marketing scheme? By the way it is not a ponzi scheme since there is a product that is being sold. I will reveal their marketing scheme and the company once I am convinced that they are not scam. I have already searched first 4 pages of the Google and no scam reports yet.

By the way, their system is designed even for no brainers or no knowledge in selling at all. Up to now, all I’ve seen in the Youtube videos were payment-proof and no scams. Let’s see, I’ll try to investigate further . I am thinking of building a Filipino team for this  - but I'll do that once I've proven their system works or if there are some who are willing to take the risk out there.

Only thing I could promise you is if you see their Marketing Scheme - you'll wet your pants lol!

Firefox 4 Beta: A Quick Glance

To all Firefox lovers out there Firefox 4 is out and is currently on its Beta version. I am a Firefox lover but I am not into it for now, I have lots of plugin for my current version that I am using right now which would probably not work on the new version. Okay let's take a few glance on its new features:

• The new Firefox comes with a new Mac / Win7 interface which is quite dazzling. Click the image below to enlarge it.

 

• As you can see,the TAB placement has been changed as well which is for me - looks great.

• They're also bragging about its new key features like the Stay in Sync where you can customize your browsers settings and save it in a USB device so you can have the same settings where ever you go. By the way, this includes your passwords (quite scary if you are careless).

• You can even organize your tabs. I don\t usually have a use for this since I don't like browsing so many sites at the same time. I'll probably use this once I upgrade the speed of my internet.
• Manage you add-ons is still in there, but the put a small icon on one of Firefox's tab for easy access.

CMF Ads First Payment

Here is my first payout from CMFAds. At last, if ever someone asked me if CMFAds is a scam or not - I know what to tell them. You can view all the money-making and honest paying programs that pay here. Now I am waiting for Adgitize payment which seems to be delayed for now. I know I have reached the minimum payout amount. Let's just see.

The Keyword is?

As I venture into the world of SEO blogging, another way of optimizing your blog/site for search engine visibility is to choose atleast 5 keywords that has a lot of traffic everyday. This 5 keywords should always be found in every article you have.

Okay, wait - how do I know if there is a lot of traffic for that keyword?

By using the Google Traffic Estimator Sandbox. When you use this tool, you will see how many people use that keyword everyday and how many people click on that very keyword. If you don't use Adwords then there won't be much use for the Estimated Cost / day item that you'll see there. I think, what's more useful to publishers would only be the Local Monthly Searches - I'll try to find a solid theory about this matter but roughly my theory for this is that the more people are looking for this keyword, and the more chances of you using those keywords - the more chances of your site to be on top of the search engines. Of course, you still have to compete with a lot of websites if you don't use Adwords (which will cost you).

So, that's it for now. A simple tip I learned today is - choose atleast 5 keywords and always use it in my articles. So if your blog is already up and running, choose the most useful keyword you can find in your articles and re-use those keywords. Who knows, the keyword you use may probably lead your blog/site at the top.

PR-anking!

I am trying to get noticed here people! No, not by you - okay, you noticing me would be greatly appreciated (thank you) but I am all for Google right now and all of its cousins like Yahoo, Bing, etc.. Yes! they are all search engines. 

From here on, all the developments you'll be seeing in this blog which one of them is trying to remove most of my paid ads is to get their attention. I just removed the Ask2Link and SocialSpark since I suspect those two would greatly affect my PR in a negative way. Why? Both of them are for selling ads. Adgitize, CMFAds and EntreCard however will stay since they are Social Networks and I call them my Traffic Boosters because technically, I am the one paying them for traffic. Adgitize just compensate me by returning my investment. EntreCards maybe selling ads but the usage is mainly for traffic and while I earn at CMFAds - I use it for traffic as well. So those three are mostly for getting attention - Yes, I like attention - kill me if you have a blog that don't need attention. Adsense will also stay, since it's Google's son or daughter so they won't mind.

Since Google's PR is trying to ignore those site/blogs who they sensed is/are selling advertisements, I decided to fully optimize my site for that purpose or atleast try to optimize it for Google's attention. I wish to have a more visible blog where atleast Google can sense me. 

Why Google is my primary objective search engine?

Because they have almost dominated the search engines, even I can't stop googling. Bing is currently the second and Yahoo is the third.

Blogging Break

There are times that you just simply need to have a break. From now on, I'll be including one post about entertainment category every week in which people may see something fun or awesome to look at. 

A friend shared this to me at Facebook and I think girls would love this. Take those worries away and watch this amazing artist make his statement about fashion. Oh, did I say he's awesome - he is.

Backlinks, Blogrolls, etc...

The links going back to your site or leading to your site has a major and important role in your PR (PageRank). It simply means your site is important. 

One good example is the ever famous Blogroll. It is very seldom for a blog to not have a blogroll probably new ones but they'll have one in no time as they find new friends to add on that blogroll. Blogroll is like a shake hands and "Hey! I like you! Can we be friends?" and without even asking permission others put those links because they like to, because they are important. Most bloggers add their friends in their blogrolls, it is normal. So, does it help? Yes! It not only builds relationship but like I said it is the basis of how important your site is. 

Have you read an article that really inspired you? Sometimes it inspires you a lot that you make the same post or copy the most inspiring part of that article and then you make a link to it - that link is just a normal link or a url. Did you know that there is a better way of telling that blogger that inspired you that his link is inspiring that helps his blog and yours as well? Well, not all bloggers use this feature called Backlinks. It is by the way available at Blogger, I think all blogs have this but you must activate it. If you don't know what it looks like, do the following:

1. First, this topic must be selected exclusively which means you are not reading from the main page. You must select this topic first.
2. If you are already reading this article exclusively, check below this article - even below the comments and look for "Blog About This Post" and you will find a link there "Create a Link". That is where the backlink is created. Of course if you click that and if you are logged-in to Blogger, it will open a new window where you can create a new post for your blog that contains the link to this article. I don't know what happens if you don't have a blogger account, I'll probably try it later to confirm.

If you did make an article, you will find the url of the post that you made on that area thus making a temporary link to your website. I said temporary because the blogger can remove this if they wanted to. I used to think this is a bad thing for my blog so I deleted those backlinks. Now, I am not expert on this matter but I believe the link can be permanent as long as the blogger did not remove it. So how does this help you? It will not just add PR to your site but it will also make you more visible in search engines. The more backlinks you have in your blog, the more visible you are in search engines and it is called SEO or Search Engine Optimization, but if you are marketing your site for money it will be called SEM or Search Engine Marketing.

A Quick Info: Backlink creates two links, one to your site which contains the link to that article and the article's backlink area. The ones you find in the article is the inbound link and the ones found in your article is outbound link.

Warning: Don't overdo it or abuse this feature because Google has many serious people who makes sure you are not spamming. So try to monitor the backlinks in your site, if it is not related to the article that you made then remove that backlink. You'll lose your PR if you abuse this.

Hey! Did you know by dropping as often as possible in my EntreCard will promote your site for free. Yes it is true and while the Top Droppers at Entre is on my widgets sidebar the top droppers will remain sponsored for free and they can't delete your link since it is a widget. SEO and PR Studies Blog

As you can see, there are previous articles that I have written about PR (PageRank) and I've been also studying about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Not to confuse myself and at the same time to test the knowledge that I've learned, I have setup a new blog which deals mainly only in these keywords - SEO / PR / Monetizing / Money Making Online. I am going to experiment on that blog whatever I've learned and if it works I'll be doing the same thing to all my blogs.

A New Home

Don'ts in Words for PR

Okay, another thing that greatly affects your site or blog's PR (PageRank) is the words you use in some of your widgets or headers. Try to avoid words My Sponsors, Advertisement, Sponsors, Featured Sites (what?) etc... Most of you probably made this common mistake, I too have made this mistake. I never really knew it has something to do with PageRanks.

Anyway, here is the deal. If Google bots think that it is an advertisement or you are trying to sell ads space or whatever - they'll stash out points in your PageRank. So as much as possible, try not to make it look like you are selling ads - you can start being creative at that point.

So there you go. Another pointer from a PR student.
