New Template for Xleontips

I've finally changed my template to this new one. Although I've been having some problems with some of the features that I've added along time ago. Most of the codes were intact but misplaced and I have to look for it on the codes - it's too exhausting!

I am still not finish customizing the theme and a lot of features are still not working. Like the rotating banners - still looking for good images and are related to my quick links. Sorry about that.

Here is one image I found (I know it's not even related lol!) I just got distracted by my favorite game Tomb Raider.

Baul ni Noel Blog Theme Implemented!

My other blog which I entitled "Baul ni Noel" has just been themed - by me. I studied Blogger's theme and was glad that I finally am able to chew the theme as it is combination of XML, javascript and unicodes plus HTML codes I haven't realized in my IT life yet.

Okay Baul ni Noel's theme is not yet fully finished. Why? As I happen to finish the theme, another idea came to me and I am already changing my mind if I should change it or not. Now, in order for me to finish it or oblige myself - I implemented the theme and just asked for my readers opinion if they have some pointers they can add. Feel free to browse my Baul and make some comments about its new theme.

Of course after I finished Baul's theme, this blog will be next and hopefully a start of a new journey for me in Blogger Theming. Of course that means, the category of Theme will be added and hopefully, free themes will be offered or I could offer it as my price on my upcoming contests like other bloggers out there. So just standby and till next time.

Blogger Theme Analyzed!

At last, I have made a great progress in making a theme for my other blog called Baul ni Noel or Noel's Chest (no, not my breast) which contains inspiring stories, articles and a lot more things anyone can treasure.

After the success of my first one, I'll be making the next theme and that new theme will be for this blog. And more will come and eventually, I'll be making a new blog especially for my Blogger Themes and they'll be all original and will be hosted by me.

The new theme will probably up in 2-3 days. Hope to finish it soon coz I still have some things to do.

Sorry about my last post. I forgot to upload my payment proof but don't worry I have uploaded it now. You can check it out for yourself.

How to Back-up Blogger Blog Theme and Restore?

Now that you have learned how to create your very own blog with Blogger.com, you might want to know how you can back-up your current settings, just in case something bad with your current design or theme. Crash in your blog could happen if you are trying to add some widgets and you accidentally copied a bad code. So here is how you can backup and restore your blog settings. Remember, your entries are intact and untouched, it's only the setting that is backed-up.

Back-up your Blog Theme:
  1. On your Dashboard, click the Layout and below it choose Edit HTML. Oh! I forgot this is for Bloggers / Blogspot. I'll try to make one for Wordpress next time. So here is what it should look like, just ignore my sites logo.
  2. Click the Download Full Template. It will allow you to back-up your whole blog along with it's widgets and current theme in XML format. Place it in your My Documents folder and name it with your blog's name and date so you can tell what it is.
  3. That's it. If you happen to accidentally remove some of your important widgets then this will restore your previous setting.
To Restore:
  1. Using the same screen, click the browse and select the XML file you have saved before.
  2. Then click upload. Blogger will inform you that most of the widgets will be discarded so you have to be sure that you are uploading the latest back-up of your blog. So if it is the latest one, then there is no need to be scared of over-writing your current blog.
Hope this has been useful to you. Please don't forget to rate my site. Again, thank you for using my tips.
