Fix Firefox Search Hijacker

Have you had an experience where you are trying to browse something and then suddenly your Firefox browser redirects you to a different URL? Whenever you make a search or you misspelled a URL, it redirects you to another URL. This usually happens when a user installs a plug-in for Firefox which hijacks every searched keywords the user uses. This plugin is a hijacker application. You don't need to worry because it is not worst as it seems though when not properly handled it may harm your computer when you continue to browse with this issue still on hand. It's best to fix it before it gets worst. Here are some of the hijackers I've encountered:

Yahoo - keeps on hijacking my misspelled URL and redirects me to their website for hosting purposes. 

Hotspot Shield - is quite random, sometimes you are on a trusted website and then when you click on a picture you are suddenly sent to search of hotspot shield.

It is very easy to fix and there are no need to install any other application. Just follow these steps:

1. Open a new tab on your Firebox browser.
2. Type about:config
3. On the search box, type keyword.URL
4. Once you found what you are looking for, right-click on the item and choose Reset.
5. Now enjoy your browsing once again.

Foxit Acrobat Reader a Great Alternative

Are you tired of using the usual Adobe Acrobat Reader? or just don't like how their installer keeps tracking Adobe products. Well here is a great alternative and pretty much lighter too. It is a from Foxit Software company. They also have some other products and software that is quite useful for developers too. I'll probably take a look at their products if every I need one for products that we develop.

It is also for FREE so no worries about the cost. They also have readers for different kinds of handsets of different kinds of operating system like Windows Mobile, Android and for Symbian OS (mostly Nokia cellphones.)

Making a Slideshow for a Blog Post

Okay, it seems that it takes a long time to get reviewed, I mean my application for an online job. By the way, I don't know what is happening with my blog's menu but I am going to fix it soon. I am sorry about that, thanks. So let us do some tipping for all of you folks out there for the mean time.

The Keyword is?

As I venture into the world of SEO blogging, another way of optimizing your blog/site for search engine visibility is to choose atleast 5 keywords that has a lot of traffic everyday. This 5 keywords should always be found in every article you have.

Okay, wait - how do I know if there is a lot of traffic for that keyword?

By using the Google Traffic Estimator Sandbox. When you use this tool, you will see how many people use that keyword everyday and how many people click on that very keyword. If you don't use Adwords then there won't be much use for the Estimated Cost / day item that you'll see there. I think, what's more useful to publishers would only be the Local Monthly Searches - I'll try to find a solid theory about this matter but roughly my theory for this is that the more people are looking for this keyword, and the more chances of you using those keywords - the more chances of your site to be on top of the search engines. Of course, you still have to compete with a lot of websites if you don't use Adwords (which will cost you).

So, that's it for now. A simple tip I learned today is - choose atleast 5 keywords and always use it in my articles. So if your blog is already up and running, choose the most useful keyword you can find in your articles and re-use those keywords. Who knows, the keyword you use may probably lead your blog/site at the top.

Are you a Drop'aholic and an Adgitizer?

Are you dropping ECs and Adgitizing at the same time? Well, for me I try to save time by using Adgitizer's blog-hopping system I made while dropping ECs if ever I see that they have EntreCard. That is to save me time from gathering ECs and reaching my 100 points at Adgitizer. Why do I do that? Like I said, to minimize time and at the same time gather points and traffic.

In my opinion, both Adgitize and EntreCard are great traffic tools. Combine together they make a great team at building your traffic. I don't actually advertise a lot using the EntreCard points. Honestly speaking, I don't get that many traffic from their cute button with Drop word in it. They just drop and take the EC and then adgitize, how do I know? Coz that's what I do too.

Although their are some instances that I really click the button whenever I find the button interesting or something peculiar. My most grateful experience is when I am at the EntreCards "more stats", I like their graphs showing how silly my EC button is (125x125 graphic image that you use to advertise your blog).

With EC, I get traffic from dropping. I see people dropping and I drop ECs as well. And sometimes my being drop'aholic isn't a waste after all coz some of them drop back ECs. For me, the 125x125 button on EC is just to inform the others that you are there. Atleast I get around 10 clicks from the advertisement that I bought at EC using my points. It still functions as it is.

Now, based on my observation. EC drop is really a big help to your traffic, drop and get a drop as well (1:3 - 1 drops back out of 3). With Adgitize, you'll really earn with them and that is the greatest and most grateful experience for me as far as I'm concern.

So to all bloggers that use both their systems. Please try to put them together in one place. My priority is the Adgitize button, if I don't see the Entrecard beside it, I just click the button 'x' and leave their and just wish to find a EC button on the next link of Adgitize.
