Before anything else I would like to thank all those who have joined, sponsored and at least tried to join. First of all let me tell you about the birthday celebrant's gift and how she celebrated her special day.

By the way, her birthday isn't actually at the end of the month -it is on Sept. 10, I just made it up to end of the month so people can prepare more and I can gather more sponsors. I was actually very busy this past September because of my offline responsibilities.

Sadly, her birthday didn't quite went well because she was very sick before and after her birthday. It took about 3 weeks before she fully recovered but I am glad to say she is doing great now. The day of her birthday we were in a ward and she was on IV (it is forbidden for her to take injections so she took her medicine through dextrose but it wasn't very serious). She is happy now and doing the regular things she does and she's even back on her job. So here is her birthday gift.

Okay, I have finally found the best layout for this blog. Now, customization comes next. This will probably take time since I also have lots of responsibilities in the real world.

Helping Others Gain PR

On my journey to find how you can gain PR or PageRank, I found an article that is really helpful. It seems being friendly and helping others increase their PR can help you increase PR as well. How? Gaining friends with high PR or not and them linking to your site will gain popularity to your site. Of course you still have to work on your site/blog's content - it will still rely on the quality of the contents of your site.

One thing for sure is that the people you help, mostly will help you as well. A fellow blogger told me (she wishes to be anonymous since in her site she is also anonymous) that her blog started gaining popularity as soon as she started helping others gain their PRs by joining their contests, being a sponsor, making blog reviews for other sites as prizes, etc... In return most of them will return this favor as well.

Now, I am glad I am doing this contest. I found some new contests and I'll probably join them as sponsor as well. But in the meantime, I'll concentrate on my contest.

Tomorrow, I'll be adding a new prize for my contest and probably close the major sponsors. I don't want to make it more harder for the contests entrants by making so many blog/site reviews.

My beloved wife whom I love so much, is going to have her birthday this coming September and to celebrate it I decided to have a contest. By the way, this is the first time I am conducting an online contest. All I need is to have the best and most simple birthday gift to my beloved wife.
